Springhouse Youth Company is a program to train and provide opportunities for young actors. Students will learn skills for auditioning and performing, while putting on a production of their own. Suitable for students brand new to performing and those with experience.

Program Information

Join us for Bilbo Baggins' adventures as he ventures out of his home, The Shire, and meets many a wild character along the way! Bilbo Baggins is a comfortably well-off hobbit with a love for rousing adventure stories. Real adventures, however, are definitely not his cup of tea. So when Gandalf the wizard knocks at Bilbo’s door, bringing with him Thorin Oakenshield, 11 ragged looking dwarfs and a contract for an adventure to recover the lost treasure of Lonely Mountain, Bilbo could not be less interested—at first. But Bilbo’s love of a good story gets the better of him, and before he knows it, he is off on a perilous quest over mountain and under hill through caves and forest and slimy dark places.

The show is The Hobbit. – Ages 7-18

Registration will open on Friday, July 31 at 6:00 PM!
We will be accepting up to 30 students, ages 7-18.
Tuition is $250.
All students audition on the first day of our program and receive a role. Students will learn and practice performance skills under the expert teaching of our director and her team.

Springhouse Youth Company is a teaching program to help kids learn new theatre skills and confidence from our excellent teaching staff, and put on a fabulous show!

NOTE: This Youth Company presentation is being offered in addition to our regular season and is not included with Season Ticket purchases.

The theatre lobby and box office open 1 hour before each curtain.
Seating begins 30 minutes before curtain.

This is registration for the Springhouse Youth Company's production of The Hobbit. The ticket price is your tuition. Please refer to the performance and rehearsal calendar and complete the information form for each student you register.
